Out of 330,000 entrants across 6 categories, our student, Eva Roche, won First place for the Vocational Education for International Students category. Eva’s background story, her current studies for Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design, and active paid work in the industry plus volunteer work recognised her efforts out of thousands. Her volunteer work in her community and the Civil Construction Design industry will see her achieve great goals. We congratulate Eva Roche as an inspiring leader.

Eva’s passion for design and construction led her to Melbourne to study the Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design at Melbourne Metropolitan College. A strong advocate for Filipino international students and migrant engineers, she co-founded the Australian chapter of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers and serves as its vice president. Now a qualified Mechanical Engineer, Eva contributes to major Victorian projects, champions diversity through Women in Construction initiatives, and supports engineers through mentoring, networking, and career development.
Eva is an advocate for Filipino international students and migrant engineers. She helped establish the Australia chapter of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers and is a champion for diversity, inclusion and professional growth as the society’s vice president.
