Critical Incidents
A critical incident, according to the National Code, is “a traumatic event, or the threat of such (inside or beyond Australia), which produces great stress, fear, or harm.” Critical incidents may, but are not necessarily limited to:
- Absent Students
- Serious Verbal Or Psychological Abusiveness
- A serious injury, a fatality, or any threat of these
- Natural Disasters
- Sexual assault, drug or alcohol abuse, and domestic violence
- It's possible for other, non-life-threatening incidents to still
- Count as critical incidents
